The food sector is one of the economic activities that impacts the quality of life of communities. Companies that produce, handle, supply, and distribute food products increasingly recognize the need to ensure and document the quality assurance of their products to guarantee total food safety and quality.
A TÉCNICA, através do seu Departamento de Engenharia Alimentar e de Processos, presta
serviços de consultoria à micro, pequenas e médias empresas (MPMEs) do ramo alimentar nas seguintes áreas:

Production Processes:
- Technical assistance in the processing of agro-food products
- Improvement of production processes
- Support in the establishment of small industries by providing basic technological support
- Design and construction of equipment using low-cost technologies and local resources uso de tecnologias de baixo custo e recursos locais
- Development of new high-quality food products with added nutritional value
Quality Control:
- Quality Management (QM)
- Support in the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) for the certification of processes or products, with a focus on the following systems (not exclusively)
- Environmental Management Systems
- Occupational Health and Safety (HST) management systems
- Food Safety and Hygiene management systems (HSA)
- Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SSO)
- Corporate Social Responsibility Management Systems

- Support in conducting audits of QMS
- Technical assistance in product quality control
Business Management:
- Assistance in the preparation of business plans
- Support in the financial analysis of the company and business risk assessment
- Assistance in investment decision evaluation (project evaluation)
- Support in financing decisions (evaluation of options and financing decisions: banking and capital markets)
- Support in business profitability analysis
- Assistance in exploring new markets, stimulating exports: procedures and international marketing
