Geotechnics

Before the design and construction of an infrastructure project, it is essential to assess the conditions of the ground to avoid disastrous events both during construction and during the life of the enterprise.

The Geotechnics Department has a qualified team made up of Geotechnicians, Geologists and Civil Engineers who, using field testing equipment and numerical analysis software, offer a comprehensive set of services for a wide range of geotechnical projects.

Geotechnical and Geophysical Research:

  • Geotechnical survey with continuous sampling, SPT tests, collection of undisturbed samples
  • CPTU Static Penetration Test, with neutral pressure measurements and dissipation test
  • Dynamic Penetration Tests – DCP and DPSH
  • Prospecting Wells
  • Manual Auger
  • Load Plate Test
  • Thermal Resistivity in Soil and Rock
  • Refractive Seismic
  • Electrical Resistivity

Geotechnical Consulting:

  • Surface and deep foundation projects
  • Project of peripheral retaining and retaining walls
  • Soil improvement and reinforcement solutions using geosynthetics
  • Stability analysis of slopes, embankments and excavations
  • Erosion protection studies and project
  • Surface geological reconnaissance
  • Analysis of load capacity and settlements

Areas of Expertise:

  • Dams
  • Building
  • Roads and Bridges
  • Power Transmission Lines
  • Renewable Energy
  • Waste Management
  • Oil and Gas
